Meet the Band
-
J. Renée
VOCALS
J. Renée, a native New Yorker with a rich Chinese-Jamaican heritage, grew up singing in her parents' basement to icons like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. After earning degrees from Penn State, the University of Phoenix (MBA), and FIT, she explored marketing and real estate before returning to her true passion—music. In 2001, her powerful, authentic voice caught the attention of major labels like Sony and producers like Brian Michael Cox. After stepping away to rediscover herself, J. Renée reemerged as an independent artist with "Emotional Baggage" (June 2024), a soul-stirring debut reflecting vulnerability, resilience, and the weight of past wounds.
